The General Manager has the overall responsibility and accountability for managing the daily operations of one or more restaurants in accordance with company as well as Burger King Corporation standards. The position is the highest in the restaurant management chain of command. It is preferred that an incumbent in this position should have two (2) years of college education or equivalent. In addition, two (2) to four (4) years of first line supervisory or management experience preferably from a restaurant or retail environment are required. As the individual in charge of a restaurant, the incumbents are expected to operate with a high degree of independence and discretion. In addition, the ability to train, guide and lead other management staff is required. An incumbent in this position is expected to work well under pressure and with a heavy workload.
